"When the artist is alive in any person, whatever his kind of work may be, he becomes an inventive, searching, daring, self-expressive creature. He becomes interesting to other people. He disturbs, upsets, enlightens, and opens ways for a better understanding. Where those who are not artists are trying to close the book, he opens it and shows there are still more pages possible."
- Robert Henri
The Art Spirit, 1923
I can remember feeling that way when I used to design software. I think that in a sense we all have an inner artist waiting to emerge.
ReplyDeleteLaura,
ReplyDeleteGreat quote. I love it. Glad you saw God's country.
Blessings be upon you at your present task. Don't be a stanger.
Thanks again Bill for the hospitality! I'll be back around in a few month's time I'd imagine. Hopefully this time I won't be so tired that I'm sleep talking during lunch. ;-)
ReplyDeleteMaybe we can all go check out Fusco's music next time. I'd like that!
I'll see you around the blogosphere in the meantime!
Cheers,
L
Enjoy the journey and we will see you soon. You have been on my mind constantly the last two days.
