Please pray for 5 month old Seth, child of my friends Oden and Sam Fong. Seth is having problems with his liver and needs a liver transplant. You can find out more about his story here at his mom's blog here.
Two nights ago they thought they had a donor liver for Seth but it wasn't a good fit. They let him go home for a night, but it looks like he will have to go back in maybe. His blood work is not up to par. Please keep praying for this little guy.
UPDATE from Seth's dad: Seth’s has had transfusions all day. His blood cannot be corrected for any length of time. His body is failing so he is high on the donor list. But the list is “silent.” Where there are often a number of liver donors, it is silent. So…, we watch our baby failing and fading away while we wait. Thankfully, this life is but a vapor, a blink of the eye and it’s gone. Heaven sounds really good about now. Maranatha!
Seth got a new liver yesterday and is now resting at the hospital. The liver was a bit large so they are waiting for the swelling to go down a bit before closing Seth up. Also, waiting for the liver to "kick in" and start working.
