  2. Happy New Year Laura...had the camera out this morn in blizzard conditions...-16 degrees Celsius...it worked so well!...I've been missing the click of that shutter

So many places to visit...so little time...I've got some airmiles that I want to put to good use...it wd be great to go on a strictly photography adventure...a person almost has to travel alone to accomplish that...Later,Tom

  3. Yes...almost...unless...the gods tell me different...Have you seen the movie Amores Perros...there's a great line when Suzanna tells Octavio,"My grandma used to say,Want to make God laugh, tell him yr plans"....I love it

  4. I've never even heard of that movie before. I'll have to check it out.
I just wasn't sure how one could "almost" travel alone. Well....actually, yes I do. I've "almost" traveled alone with people before. ;-)

Ok Tom, so where would you go on your strickly photographic adventure. Let's say you have 2 weeks, and money is no limit...where would you go?

Anyone who stops by for that matter. Where would you go?

  5. Gee,you shld ask a tough question ;)...only two weeks-not enough time, but besides those places that I wd like to return with camera and 'almost solo'like New Zealand,Cuba and Newfoundland(doable),there's also Patagonia,Japan,China,Thailand,The Meditteranean,England,Ireland,Scotland,France, did I mention Australia,Alaska and British Columbia(both doable)and I really shld visit my Mom more often, seeing that she lives 20 min. away ;)...sounds like the before version of that Hank Snow song,"I've been Everywhere"...I'd better start savin becuz despite what 3 billion re-incarnationists believe, everybody knows you only live once and if you didn't,it doesn't help if you can't remember past lives....lol

  6. LOL!! Well...I think you should start by going to your mums then.

I want to go to Greece. That was the plan when I was working in Europe, but the contract we were on ended earlier than we anticipated. That's a trip I should have just gone ahead and done "almost solo".

    Some day.......

  10. Ha...that is funny-my Father ,who never really listened to music much wd occasionally play records on this old player that you had to put pennies on the needle arm to keep it from skipping(now,I'm really showin' my age)-and what did he play-yep!-the Hankster...that music is in my bones---I actually enjoy it,not to mention that rug...have you seen Roxanne?...Hank must've got those same stares at his hairpiece...painting,eh?
